One of Shellman's aspirations for many years was
to craft watches that surpass the historical masterpieces. In
order to do this Shellman showcased the excellent techniques
of Japanese craftsmen in the world pursuant to learning "Hon-Shippou," which
literally means the "Genuine Shippou ware" of the traditional
method of pottery.
Cloisonné dial of art handcraft was created pursuant to Shellman's
unyielding belief that, "it must be usable even if it is
a high-class precious watch." Shellman developed their own
materials for everything : the liquid, the board and the disk
on which Cloisonné is depicted, i.e., Cloisonné dial of Shippou
ware. By the time the watchmakers had created a work they were
pleased with, the process had already taken three years. |
